Java Software Engineer

I'm working with an organisation undergoing significant platform modernisation and looking for an experienced Java Software Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain Java-based applications and microservices
• Build scalable, secure and high-performance systems
• Work across the full SDLC from design to deployment and support
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture and Engineering teams
• Participate in code reviews and support continuous improvement
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues

Key Skills

• Strong commercial experience with Java development
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong knowledge of Git, Maven and Jenkins
• Understanding of scalable and distributed systems
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
